Function of magnetic coupling

Couplings are widely used in various general mechanical equipment to connect two shafts so that they can rotate together to transmit torque and motion. Traditional couplings must transmit torque through the mutual connection between the driving shaft and the driven shaft, which has complex structure, high manufacturing accuracy and is easy to cause damage to components when overloaded. In particular, when the driving shaft and driven shaft work in two different liquids and gases that need to be isolated from each other, sealing elements must be used for dynamic sealing. In this way, either the rotating resistance is increased to ensure reliable sealing, or the sealing is not tight enough to cause leakage. In addition, with the wear and aging of sealing elements, leakage will be aggravated, especially in the system where harmful gases and liquids exist. Once leakage occurs, it will pollute the ecology and environment and endanger life.

Traditional couplings are all contact couplings, which can be divided into elastic coupling and rigid coupling according to whether there are elastic parts inside. The inner part of the coupling is provided with elastic parts made of metal springs or rubber and plastic, so it has the function of buffering and vibration absorption and the ability to adapt to axis deviation. It is suitable for the occasion of bearing variable load impact, frequent starting and positive and reverse rotation, and also for the occasion where the axis 2 cannot be strictly aligned. There is no elastic part in the rigid coupling, so it has no ability to buffer and absorb vibration.

The magnetic transmission coupling is a non-contact coupling, which is composed of two magnets inside and outside. The two magnets are separated by an isolation shield in the middle. The inner magnet is connected with the driven part, and the outer magnet is connected with the power part. In addition to the function of elastic coupling to buffer and absorb vibration, the magnetic drive coupling is characterized by breaking the structure of traditional coupling and adopting a new magnetic coupling principle to realize the transmission of force and torque between the driving shaft and driven shaft without direct contact, and can turn the dynamic seal into a static seal to achieve zero leakage. Therefore, it is widely used in situations with special requirements for leakage.
