Thinner Magnetic Rings Reshape Wireless Charging Design

Thinner Magnetic Rings Reshape Wireless Charging Design
One of the main differences between Ferrite Magnetic Stones and ordinary magnetic balls is the shape.
Wireless charging accessories are becoming thinner, lighter and more integrated. As a result, the magnetic structure inside the product is also changing.
For many phone cases, charging stands and magnetic power accessories, the magnet is no longer treated as a separate component added at the end of assembly. The wireless charging magnet ring is increasingly designed together with the housing, charging coil and internal space from the beginning.
This changes what buyers need from a magnet supplier.
A thicker magnetic ring may provide strong attraction, but it can also increase case thickness or interfere with internal assembly. For slim products, buyers often need to balance three points:
magnetic force, total thickness and positioning accuracy.
This is why segmented magnet arrays are widely used in compact wireless charging structures. Multiple small NdFeB magnets can be arranged into a ring while keeping the overall assembly thin.
The ring design can also be adjusted according to the application, including:
Outer and inner diameter
Magnet quantity
Magnet thickness
Magnetic polarity layout
Tail positioning magnet
PET or Mylar covering
Adhesive structure
Surface color
For bulk production, the challenge is not simply making one sample with enough attraction. The important part is keeping the magnet positions, polarity direction and total thickness consistent from batch to batch.
For OEM buyers, it is therefore better to confirm the magnetic ring together with the final product structure instead of selecting only by magnet grade.
A well-matched magnetic alignment ring can improve assembly efficiency while reducing unnecessary thickness and redesign work.
At Magnet Forever, we manufacture customized wireless charging magnetic assemblies according to customer drawings, samples and installation requirements. Sample development can be completed before mass production, and confirmed parameters can be retained for repeat orders.
